Metapsychology has widely been considered as the most difficult in its comprehension of the total work of Sigmund Freud. Of course, a number of his metapsychological works were lost during the War. The in depth study of Freud's work in its totality show the prominence of meta-psychology in his thinking right from the beginning and at least as early as 1895. The Institute over a decade has run a seminar in Metapsychology with the purpose of studying from the beginning the works of Sigmund Freud as well as other classical psychoanalysts.
