Five Year Classical Psycho-Analytical Training Course
- The candidates are being accepted for training only after they have began their own personal psychoanalysis and with a frequency of four or, five sessions per week.
- The theoretical training of the Institute's candidates has been adapted to the internationally accepted standards for Classical Psychoanalysis.
- The Institute's candidates participate in weekly theoretical seminars.
- The Institute's candidates participate in meetings of the "Journal Club".
- The Institute's candidates participate in the weekly Metapsychology seminar.
- The pre-clinical period of the candidates' theoretical training is accompanied by trimester of Baby Observation under video Theoretical Tutorial and Supervision.
- The candidates meet regularly their Tutors to discuss matters concerning the course of their training, as well as matters relevant to their progress.
- The candidates as soon as they have completed the 2nd year of their studies are allowed to begin with their First Clinical Case and after the completion of the 4th year they may start with their Second Clinical Case.
- Each one of the candidates' clinical cases is accompanied by weekly clinical supervision.
- The candidates finish their education when the Education Committee has accepted the reports of their Clinical Cases.
- "Full Members" of the Institute are nominated all those who have fulfilled all their duties at the Clinical Level and have completed their Personal Analysis.
- The personal analysis is full and systematic. It is also kept separate from the rest of the candidate's training.
- The whole training at the Institute has an all embracing character which unifies five dominant Psychoanalytical Schools (Kleinian, British, French, Independent and American) under the umbrella of Classical Psychoanalysis at all Theoretical, Clinical and Technical levels.
